This workshop brings together four CAPS projects: CAPSELLA, PROFIT, OpenCare and EMPATIA. How can we bring the CAPS rich and heterogeneous community experience into a coherent ethical or ‘value proposition’ for the European Commission’s NGI innovation activities? Four projects and four panelists share their ethics reflection, based on the projects’ work. The socio-technical complexities of distributed and decentralized information and communication technologies are addressed concretely. The challenges that are inherent to the EU legislation on GDPR, and also in the DSM as far as they are ethical challenges will be addressed.
